Madinah Ziyarat Tour

Visit All Sacred Sites – Guided Half Day Tour

About Our Madinah Ziyarat Tour Service

Madinah, the Radiant City, holds a special place in Islamic heritage as the city that embraced the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the early Muslim community. Beyond the Prophet's Mosque, Madinah is home to dozens of historically and spiritually significant sites. The Madinah Ziyarat Tour by Taqwa Cabs Network offers a carefully curated half-day journey through the most important of these locations.

Our tour begins at Masjid Quba — the first mosque ever built in Islam — and continues through Qiblatain Mosque, where the direction of prayer was changed from Jerusalem to Makkah; the battlefield and martyrs' ground of Mount Uhud; the historic Masjid Al-Jummah; the Seven Mosques (Sab'a Masajid) complex; and the sacred Baqi Cemetery (Jannat al-Baqi) where many of the Prophet's companions are buried.

Each site on our route is accompanied by historical context and spiritual narrative. Our drivers are well-versed in the significance of every location and can share authentic accounts drawn from Hadith and Sirah literature. The tour is designed to be contemplative rather than hurried, giving you adequate time for prayers, reflection, and Du'a at each stop.

Whether you are visiting Madinah for the first time or returning to deepen your connection with the Prophet's city, this Ziyarat tour enriches your understanding of early Islamic history. Available in all vehicle classes from intimate sedans to full-size buses, it is perfect for individuals, families, and organised groups alike.

Madinah Ziyarat Tour — Tour Itinerary & Site Guide

Duration: 4-5 hours (half-day tour) · 6 sacred sites

Sites visited: Masjid Quba · Qiblatain Mosque · Mount Uhud · Masjid Al-Jummah · Seven Mosques (Sab'a Masajid) · Baqi Cemetery (Jannat al-Baqi)

The Madinah Ziyarat Tour begins with pickup from your hotel, usually in the morning to take advantage of cooler temperatures. The first stop is Masjid Quba, located approximately 5 km south of Masjid an-Nabawi. This is the first mosque in Islam, founded by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) upon his arrival in Madinah during the Hijra. Performing two raka'at of prayer here is equivalent to performing Umrah, according to authentic Hadith.

From Quba, the tour proceeds to Masjid Al-Qiblatain (Mosque of the Two Qiblas), situated in the Bani Salama area. This mosque holds the unique distinction of being the place where the Quranic revelation came commanding Muslims to change their prayer direction from Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem to the Kaaba in Makkah. The mosque has been beautifully renovated and features a distinctive twin-minaret design.

Mount Uhud, the next stop, is located about 7 km north of the Prophet's Mosque. This is the site of the Battle of Uhud (625 CE), where the Prophet's uncle Hamza ibn Abdul-Muttalib (RA) was martyred. The Martyrs' Cemetery at the foot of the mountain contains the graves of many Sahabah who fell in the battle. The mountain itself is a striking red-brown formation that the Prophet described as "a mountain that loves us and we love it."

The Seven Mosques (Sab'a Masajid) complex is a cluster of small mosques linked to the Battle of the Trench (Khandaq). Located on the western edge of the Sal' mountain, these mosques mark the positions where Muslim forces dug the defensive trench. Masjid Al-Fath (Mosque of Victory) is the largest and most prominent in the group.

Masjid Al-Jummah marks the spot where the Prophet performed the first Jummah (Friday) prayer in Islam, during his migration from Quba to Madinah. The mosque is modest but historically significant. The final stop is Jannat al-Baqi, the ancient cemetery adjacent to the Prophet's Mosque. Buried here are many of the Prophet's wives, children, companions, and early Islamic scholars. It is customary to offer prayers and supplications for the deceased.
