Makkah Ziyarat Tour

Visit All Sacred Sites – Guided Half Day Tour

About Our Makkah Ziyarat Tour Service

The holy city of Makkah is surrounded by sites of immense spiritual and historical significance. The Makkah Ziyarat Tour by Taqwa Cabs Network takes you on a guided half-day journey to the most sacred landmarks outside the Haram, places where pivotal moments in Islamic history unfolded. This is not merely sightseeing — it is a deeply moving spiritual experience.

Our carefully planned route covers Cave Hira on Jabal al-Nour, where the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him); Mount Arafat, where pilgrims stand during the pinnacle of Hajj; the vast plains of Muzdalifah; the tent city of Mina; and Jabal Thawr, the cave where the Prophet and Abu Bakr (RA) sheltered during the Hijra.

Each location is accompanied by narrative context from our knowledgeable drivers, who can share the historical and spiritual significance of every stop. The tour typically lasts 4-5 hours, allowing sufficient time at each site for reflection, photography, and Du'a. We design the itinerary to flow naturally, minimising backtracking and maximising your time at each sacred site.

The Makkah Ziyarat Tour is available in every vehicle class, from intimate sedan tours for couples to full Coaster and bus tours for organised groups. Fixed pricing means you know the total cost upfront, and our no-advance-payment policy ensures complete flexibility.

Makkah Ziyarat Tour — Tour Itinerary & Site Guide

Duration: 4-5 hours (half-day tour) · 6 sacred sites

Sites visited: Cave Hira (Jabal al-Nour) · Mount Arafat · Muzdalifah · Mina · Jabal al-Nour · Jabal Thawr

The Makkah Ziyarat Tour begins with pickup from your Makkah hotel. The first stop is typically Jabal al-Nour (Mountain of Light), home to Cave Hira — the small cave at the mountain's summit where the Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) first appeared to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with the revelation of Surah Al-Alaq. While climbing to the cave is optional (it is a strenuous 1.5-hour ascent), viewing the mountain from its base is itself a profoundly moving experience.

From Jabal al-Nour, the tour proceeds to Mount Arafat, approximately 20 km southeast of Makkah. This is the "Mountain of Mercy" (Jabal ar-Rahmah) where the Prophet delivered his farewell sermon. The vast plain of Arafat is where millions of Hajj pilgrims stand in supplication on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah. Outside Hajj season, the area is quiet and contemplative — ideal for peaceful reflection.

The route continues to the open plains of Muzdalifah, located between Arafat and Mina. During Hajj, pilgrims spend the night here under the open sky. The area is expansive and marked by simple boundary stones. Your driver will explain the rituals associated with this sacred location as you pass through.

Next, the tour visits Mina — known as the "City of Tents." This massive tent encampment houses millions of pilgrims during the days of Hajj. Outside Hajj season, the white tents remain standing, creating a surreal landscape that stretches across the valley. The Jamarat Bridge, where pilgrims perform the symbolic stoning ritual, is also visible.

The final major stop is Jabal Thawr, the mountain that contains the cave where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (RA) hid for three nights during the Hijra to Madinah. The Quran references this event in Surah At-Tawbah (9:40). The mountain provides panoramic views of Makkah and the surrounding valleys, making it a memorable conclusion to the tour.
